Enrollment Part-Time to Supplement a Homeschool Program
If you are a parent committed to continue homeschooling for your children, we want to be a valuable resource to help you supplement your home education program in a variety of ways. Part-time enrollment offers you the flexibility of enrolling your child
for high school courses that require knowledge and expertise beyond your comfort level;
for social classroom experience in a safer Christian environment with supportive instructors and students, prior to introduction to the college environment;
in courses scheduled with college-style block scheduling, allowing a typical one credit course to be only two or three days per week, rather than 40 minutes or so every day (generally more convenient for transporting part-time students);
for more hands on help with subjects like high school mathematics and preparation for college writing;
in courses that utilize successful curriculum (like Apologia for sciences), and proven classical instructional methods;
to help your college bound students develop flexibility in learning to get along with instructors and adapting to different teaching styles, exam formats, grading and expectations;
for private or small group tutoring (any age);
for courses and activities that optimize your child's experience in a group- such as music, drama, speech, and developing/practicing rhetorical skills;
to expand your student's transcript with courses graded and conducted by other instructors;
to benefit from a friendly competitive classroom enviroment, which enhances enthusiastic learning for some students;
for independent Stanford Achievement Test administration;
for clubs and group physical education, intramural sports with Christian teens;
and more- let us know what you need!
* Scholarships may be available to qualifying students either full or part-time, while available.
(Families interested in a scholarship should make their request as early as possible.)
Full-Time Enrollment
Many parents have found that Cornerstone Prep's non-denominational Christian culture and mission make it the ideal setting for their children for high school. 56% of current students transferred from home school or cyber school programs. Some were not achieving their potential, which can place significant strain on family relationships.
Full-time enrollment offers the additional advantage of transportation from most districts and participation in athletic programs.
